Mini Cooper S Countryman
Minis are made by the British Motor Corporation (BMC). The company has factories in England, Australia, Spain, Belgium, Chile, Italy, Malta, Portugal, South Africa, Uruguay, Venezuela and Yugoslavia. The original British icon started in the 1960s and marketed under Austin (Austin Seven) and Morris (Morris Mini Minor).
Mini Cooper S Countryman is a crossover assembled in Austria. It’s different from other Mini cousins because it has four doors and seats four comfortably. The S version, a turbocharged comes in 4-cylinder with 6 speed engine delivering 181 hp with an excellent fuel efficiency. It comes with antilock disc brakes, front side and full side curtain air bags, passenger knee air bags, and stability control features. It is also much sportier than other crossovers.
The ride is harsh and noisy as expected from a Mini. Another disadvantage is the recommended premium fuel. However, you can dress it up with many available options to suit your pallet. The vehicle carries an IIHS top safety Pick. With a 26 city and 32 highway MPG, the Mini Cooper S Countryman is neither a true mini nor a SUV.
Minis are known for its relatively lower cost. With all-wheel drive (AWD) and few other extras it could still cost you over $30,000.
