Audi A6 3.0 Quattro
The A6 is a 3.0-liter V6 with 310 hp, 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive (AWD). This gives 19 city, 28 highway and 22 combined miles per gallon (MPG). Standard features include antilock disc brakes, front side and side curtain air bags, and stability control similar to luxury models. With an IIHS “good” top safety pick, A6 sells around $57,500.
It sits in the middle of the Audi family, above A4 and below pricier A8. The 2012 has been completely reengineered by German car maker. Body styling changes are so subtle that it is hard to separate from previous A6. However, reduced weight due to 20 percent aluminum, A6 gives good gas mileage. As expected from an Audi, A6’s interior is second to none. Material and build quality are excellent. All instruments are oriented to the driver.
The technology allows A6 to connect wirelessly to the Internet from a laptop or tablet. With Google Earth navigation and “night vision assistant”, this is a dream car. If one prefer, A6 also comes in 4-cylinder, FWD and a continuously variable transmission. But the “Quattro” is much more quick, handles corners effortlessly, and sticks to the road with comfort and quiet.
