An utmost SUV from Mercedes-Benz
Since 1886, Mercedes-Benz is known to build quality vehicles. So when it introduced its GLK in 2008, SUV enthusiasts were thrilled. The latest model, Mercedes-Benz GLK350 4Matic, comes in 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 302-horsepower and 2.1-liter 4-cylinder turbo diesel that delivers 200-horsepower and outstanding fuel economy. When it comes to acceleration and power, the diesel is a no match to the V6. The 7-speed automatic (does not come in manual) V6 comes with all-wheel drive (AWD) that delivers 19 city, 24 highway, and 21 combined miles per gallon (MPG). It can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Standard safety features include front side air bags, full side curtain air bags, and stability control. This is why IIHS rates it “Good” and a top safety pick. Not bad for a starting price of $38,000 for a rear wheel-drive base model GLK350. An all-wheel-drive 4Matic starts around $40,000. They are not inexpensive buy or to maintain.
Its exterior styling is called “unusual” and “distinctive” by many. The GLK350 continues the tradition of building beautifully designed vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. Inside you will find comfortable front seats as well as well insulated cabin that cuts down road and wind noise. All around visibility from inside the vehicle considered good.
