Optimism builds up for the Los Angeles Auto Show
The 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show will be held on November 30 through December 9, 2012 at the downtown Convention Center. Sanctioned by the OICA and endorsed by the Greater Los Angeles New Car Dealers Association the event will fill 760,000 square feet of floor area at the Convention Center. The show has been running uninterrupted since 1907. The LA Auto Show marks the start of the yearlong auto exhibitions in North America.
24 new vehicles from Acura to Volkswagen are expected to make a world debuts at the show. 23 new models from Audi to Volkswagen are expected to make North American debuts at the show. Six new vehicles from Fiat, Honda, Lexus and Nissan are expected to make an auto shoe debuts including a concept car. Last year over 920,000 people visited the show and the organizers expect closer to one million customers this year. Approximately 11 percent of U.S. vehicle sales are occurring in California. Also, California accounts for a third of the electric vehicles and quarter of all hybrids sold in the U.S. This year’s show also highlights some of the sexiest vehicles from Lamborghini, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.
