Hamilton nearly skipped European GP

Lewis Hamilton almost missed the European GP due to “health problems” it seems. He was suffering from bad flu and cold symptons and also had bad neck spasms. He survived on injections to his neck (ouch) and lots of painkillers. Its interesting that this is the first time we’re hearing about it, normally we would first hear that the reserve driver who is Pedro De La Rosa would have made an appearance at the track followed by rumours. This probably explains why Hamilton was late (and fined) for official FIA press conference on Thursday. Whats really impressive is that there was no leak of this from within McLaren which shows how much of a lockdown they have on information going to the press.
