Detroit loves bigger engines that provide muscle power to vehicles. But BMW-based three-cylinder, 1.5-liter Mini Cooper does a remarkably better job challenging the established power base. For 2015, now you can buy a four-door with a bit bigger cargo space and more leg room at the back seat. Slow pickup is a common criticism of the car which the Mini is trying to address with newer turbocharged engines. Harshly ride is another complaint but responsive handling, sharp steering and strong brakes can compensate for that. Many find it a fun to drive car.
